Harmony Wins of the Week 7-24-26

Good afternoon, Harmony team!

This week’s win comes from our production team and highlights how a relatively small process adjustment can create meaningful improvements in efficiency and product quality.

What was the win? By hand-portioning our salmon, we have been able to slightly increase the size of each portion. This adjustment is helping us improve both our production capacity and the quality of the finished product.

Why does it matter? We are now able to process an additional 75 to 100 pounds of fish per smoker, which could significantly increase the amount of salmon we can process on any given day. The slightly larger portions also take less time to rack, helping us move through production more efficiently. In addition, the finished smoked salmon has more substance and a more tender bite, creating an even better overall product for our customers.

Thank you to Sabrina and the entire production team for continuing to look for ways to make Harmony stronger. This is a great example of how teamwork and attention to detail can improve both our operations and the quality of the products.

Another highlight this week was the sales team’s visit to the La Conner plant on Wednesday. It was a valuable opportunity to bring everyone together, learn more about the plant and production process, and better understand the work that creates our products. It was also good to spend time together and share lunch as a team.

Great work, team!
